Sabrina Says
Sabrina Says
"We love the versatility of many Victorian jewels, including this one. It can be worn as a striking pendant, on a chain, or converted into a chic brooch by removing the pendant bale, folding down the pendant loop and attaching the brooch fitting.
Celestial motifs, such as stars, the crescent moon and comets, are prominent in Victorian jewellery, as there was great interest in the cosmos during the period following discoveries in astronomy and comet sightings.
In this pieces we see a cosmic-like starburst, perhaps with the sun at the centre."
